There are few things better than shops built by a community that has a common interest in helping everyone within it be their best selves. Lavande does precisely this. When I first stepped into the store, I was blown away by the selection of crystals, wellness items, and thoughtful decor that fills the space. No wonder why their website says, "A conscious living space filled with love, light, and energy," because it truly is. I had to know who's thoughtful mind was behind the creation of this quaint store tucked away in Bird Rock, La Jolla. A few weeks later, I stopped back in to meet with the soul behind it all, Kristy Hambrick. The way she spoke about her passions was inspiring! I'm not kidding when I say I could listen to her talk about her store and passion projects all day long.

 Kristy was called to this space before it was even on the market, and she knew it had to be hers. And once it was, she created such a gorgeous space! We chatted about why she chose the space over a cup of Cacao. Cacao is a sacred drink served during rituals at Lavande; Lavande sources their Cacao from a women's collective in Guatemala. I didn't hesitate to ask her any questions, and there wasn't one she didn't know the answer to. I encourage anyone to stop into the shop and, if you're lucky enough to have Kristy there while you browse, ask her a few questions about the store. Her staff was incredibly accommodating so even if you don’t get to chat with her the staff is very knowledgeable on all things Lavande.

I have, of course, picked up some new crystals while shopping around as well as home, wellness, and beauty products. I genuinely consider this space unique to my heart and love all of the wonderful conversations I've had with Kristy, her staff, and new friends at Lavande.
