Valentine's Day Sugar Cookie
My kids have a major sweet tooth, and although I try and keep their sugar indulging to a minimum, I like to let them splurge around the Holidays. Baking with my kids is always so much fun, even if it gets messier than when I do it myself...These sugar cookies are perfect for any holiday because you can just use different cookie cutters and food coloring to make them ideal for whatever you’re celebrating! So for Valentine’s Day, I grabbed my purse and hopped in the car to head to one of my favorite stores, Williams Sonoma, to get heart-shaped cookie cutters! Well, I walked out with more than just the cookie cutters, but how can you not?! The recipe takes time because the dough has to cool for 2 hours (and can stay refrigerated for up to 24), So make sure you have the time! I also picked up cookie mix from William Sonoma so if you’re short on time grab these and its much easier to whip them together. I love this recipe because the kids get to decorate the cookies and get creative with how they want them to look. Sailor is usually the one to take the most time decorating, while the boys just can’t wait to take a bite of their delicious cookies. Set these out in your kitchen, and they’ll be gone in minutes. Happy Valentine’s Day xo, Chantelle.
