Shacket Season

Picture this: it's Sunny and 60 degrees in San Diego, and you have no clue what to wear. You could throw on a jacket, but no, you'll get too hot, and a shirt alone won't do the trick either you'll be too chilly. This is why a shacket is my go-to fall apparel item this year! A shacket is an oversized shirt-jacket hybrid that has been all over your Instagram page lately. I love it because the possibilities are endless. It can be a flannel (like the one I'm wearing), corduroy, leather, and so many other options that I'll link below. My favorite way to wear it is with jeans and a t-shirt when I bring the kids surfing later in the day. This way, I can bundle up with my family after an exhausting surf and watch the sunset (and if the shacket is big enough I can share it as a blanket with Sailor). I also love that if it's oversized enough, you can convert it to a dress. Add a belt and a pair of heels, and it's perfect for a night out. It can even be simpler than that by just wearing your favorite pair of heels with jeans and a shacket you're ready to go at the drop of a pin. And the best part of all? They are so cozy and cozy.
