Happy in Houndstooth

Happy (almost) Saint Patrick's Day! I was at the store and saw this gorgeous houndstooth Skirt from Sandro on sale and had to get it! I thought it would be perfect to wear for a Saint Patrick's Day dinner celebration. I wore it with these fun tights, combat boots, and a turtleneck but, you could really pair it with anything. Back when Brian and I lived in Minnesota, I worked at Britts English Pub, and Brian worked at The Local Irish Pub. He and his coworkers got on the roof one night to shoot potatoes at Britts. It was a war between the English and the Irish pubs! It's a memory we will never forget. That was back when we celebrated Saint Patrick's Day in style... going to the bars with our friends and drinking green beer but, now we spend it eating corned beef and cabbage and having a night with our family. The Leuperchans make an appearance every year, and boy does they wreak havoc on our home...our toilet water turns green, our milk turns green, and the best part is watching the kids discover these oddities every year. xo, Chantelle

I would also love to style this skirt with a graphic tee, blazer and no tights when the weather warms up. It would also be cute with a pair of tennis shoes. Another option…with a sexy cami tank and a pair of heels for a night out. This skirt is so versitle! Today it was chilly and rainy in San Diego, this was the vibe I was feeling. I ran out the door for a meeting and added a black Anine Bing black blazer.
